Welcome to our little piece of the internet. This particular site is dedicated to our sailboat, the Island Zephyr, a Morgan Out Island 33. This site is mainly to focus on our sailboat, but we have several different websites and locations for our own business related products and services. We have owned our own business for almost 15 years now, mostly in crafts and the hobby businesses. DK is a pattern designer and knitter, and Scott is an online e-commerce consultant. We both currently own our own online book business which we operate out of Auburn Alabama.

Scott, is a licensed amateur radio operator, (or ham radio operator), a photographer for more than 15 years, author of a few blogs, and an Internet business consultant that focuses mainly on small businesses using multiple sales channels. Along with new and used books he also does consulting specifically in the area of helping home based start-up businesses find a presence online, how to market their products (or find a product), through the shipping and fulfillment of orders process, and SEO (search engine optimization) utilization for small businesses.

Deborah [aka the Nautical Knitter], held classes and designed all kinds of patterns from quilting, cross stitch, crochet, to knitting. As a national teaching, specializing in hand quilting, I have the pleasure of teaching in some of the largest shows in the country like the AQS Quilt Show in Paducah Kentucky, the Road to California Quilt Show (the largest quilt show in California), and the International Quilt Festival in Houston, among many others across the country.Over the years, knitting has become my passion beyond many other craft hobbies that I still enjoy and I am glad to share some of it with you here.

I have several pattern designs in progress, some finished, and some of my muse waiting in the wing. After doing several KAL’s I have decided to take some of my designs and make them into something that everyone can enjoy. Many people ask… why D K ? Well, after doing business on the Internet for more than 15 years that is just what I use for my online name. You can call me D, or DK, or whatever you like. Nautical Knitter? Well, of all places, I like to knit on our sailboat the most.
